Talent Search Mondays in March, 2010
9:00 pm – 1:00 am
It is their annual call out to the live music community to discover emerging talent. Each week they select 2 winners ($50 each) based on the following criteria:
Musicality Originality Stage Presence
The weekly finalists then go on to compete in the Talent Search Finals, March 29th, 2010.
The finals offer a SECOND opportunity to win greater cash prizes ($500-winner, $100-runner up), acclaim and potential booking opportunities.
This search is open to a wide range of LIVE MUSIC genres: Rock, Reggae, Blues, Jazz, Funk, Folk, Soul, and more; due to space and sound system limitations, no hard rock please.
Joanna Woods, their fabulous host, will be your point of contact should you decide to submit for consideration in the Talent Search, contact her at: alaspoormouse@hotmail.com with the following information:
1. Band/Artist name, contact info,(include contact number to touch base day before show)
2. Bio/description of your musical stylings (200 word max)
3. Exact number of performers, instrumentation and backline requests
4. Website
5. Social network profile (facebook, myspace etc)
6. EPK (electronic press kit)
Things to know:
Backline: An 8 channel PA (mics and stands provided)
Bass amp
House piano
And kit (band brings: kick, snare and symbols)
There is a shortage of gear space so utilize the house gear. Load in at least one-hour prior to scheduled time slot or risk forfeiting. The set time is 20 minutes with the need for FAST setup/breakdown, no more than 10 minutes or it deducts from set time.
