Father Chris Doering, (aka "Padre"), reports for Chaplain Basic Officer Leadership Course on Sunday June 6, 2010. He'll start his training at Ft. Jackson, SC as a part of one of the first classes that will have Navy and Air Force chaplain candidates sharing the school on the same Army post. Over the past couple years Padre has become a staple on the open mike circuit, a headliner at many a Johnny Cash show, and just IS a general icon in the country music scene in Chicago. He even opened for David Allen Coe at Joe's on Weed St. Now, before he reports for duty, musician friends of past and present will gather to perform for Padre in celebration of his acceptance and our appreciation for everything that he is! 7:00 Doors open
