A message from the Hyde Park Jazz Society: "Fresh from performances in Eastern Europe, the remarkable saxophonist ARI BROWN, returns this Sunday, 12/4/11, to kick off our December at THE MARMON GRAND. You have been such loyal and faithful supporters, we hope you will continue to be there for us as we start the month in our beautiful new venue. Many of you joined us for our fundraiser earlier this month, so you already have been to The Marmon Grand at 2230 S. Michigan Ave. We know many of you are huge fans of Ari, so you will not want to miss this great musician whom Howard Reich describes as being "what Chicago tenordom is all about, including a larger-than-life presence, a profound affinity with blues expression and an unquenchable thirst for novel sounds." Ari will be joined by his brother Kirk Brown on piano; Yosef Ben Israel, bass; Dr. Cuz, percussion; and Avreeayl Ra, drums. "
