Luciano’s “Brazilian Grooves for Guitar” workshop will take you on a tour of many of Brazil’s patterns including Samba, Olodum, Xote, Baião, Partido Alto and Bossa Nova. In this workshop, guitar players will also get a chance to see and play percussion instruments and then learn how the guitar relates to these instruments as it grooves with them. Old Town School Brazilian percussion instructor Geraldo Oliveira will assist. Percussionists are welcome in this workshop. Students should bring their guitars and percussion instruments although a limited number of instruments will be provided.
